Appointments and Telephone Consultations
If you have an issue that can be dealt with over the telephone then please advise the receptionist when making your appointment. As long as an examination is not needed then a telephone consultation is usually more appropriate. Queries about medication, sick lines, test results and advice are all appropriate uses for a telephone consultation. Please advise the receptionist when making your appointment that you would be happy to take a telephone consultation.
Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery on 01333 350241. All patients should be able to obtain advice from a health care professional or pharmacist within 48 hours.
Please note that it is not always possible to see the GP of your choice. You will have to wait longer for an appointment if you do not want to see the next available Doctor.
Patients should also be aware that each person requiring to be seen will require a separate appointment.
Due to the recent increase in the number of patients failing to attend pre-booked appointments, a large portion of our appointments are same day appointments.
If you can wait to see a doctor please choose a pre-booked appointment. If your condition needs to be assessed sooner, please phone at 8am on the day to request an appointment that same day.
Please show consideration to other users of the service by informing our reception staff if an appointment cannot be kept so that it can be offered to someone else.
